Abstract: After introducing the notion of a presheaf on a category and the Yoneda Lemma, I will give examples of representable and non-representable functors. I will also explain how to define a topology on a category, and introduce some of the most important topologies: the classical topology, Zariski topology, étale topology and flat topology.
