Abstract: We mainly introduce how to write the water wave equation as a quasilinear hyperbolic equation, so as to prove its local well-posedness. Furthermore, under the assumption of small initial values, we introduce how to write the water wave equation in a form where the nonlinear term is of degree three, thereby proving its global well-posedness and even the stability of the zero solution.
